Office Coordinator
Position Summary
We’re seeking an outgoing, detail-oriented, and efficient individual to join our team as an Office Coordinator. In this role, you will provide crucial support to our foundation’s operations, ensuring everything runs smoothly across various departments.
This position involves a range of administrative responsibilities, including customer service, basic bookkeeping tasks, and managing the procurement of office and project supplies. The Office Coordinator will also provide crucial administrative support to both leadership and program staff.
We are looking for an individual who is highly organized and has established systems to ensure that routine tasks are consistently completed. A keen eye for detail and a willingness to handle smaller tasks are also important, as we understand these contribute significantly to the overall success of our organization.
Primary Responsibilities
The Office Coordinator will manage the day-to-day operations of the main office of River City Outdoors. This role provides vital administrative, financial, and HR support to the entire team.
Administrative Support
Answering phone calls and transferring to the appropriate team member
Greeting customers and visitors to the office, ensuring guests are comfortable and are connected with the right office personnel
Managing schedules for conference and community spaces
Monitoring and ordering inventory for office and break room supplies
Managing incoming and outgoing correspondence, including emails, mail and packages
Filing and organizing records, invoices and other important documentation
Ordering repairs for office equipment and maintenance, connecting with and escorting vendors
Ensuring the office is organized and functions for the team and for visitors.
Financial Support
Facilitate charitable giving efforts by coordinating donations from River City Outdoors to various community organizations.
Oversee cash management for the rental department, including collecting and logging cash sales and preparing accurate, timely bank deposits.
Support requests for finance documentation from the staff, including reimbursements and credit card receipts
Assist with general financial operations, including vendor payments, invoice preparation, and other related administrative finance tasks as assigned.
HR Support
Assist with hiring efforts, including assisting with posting job openings, scheduling screening interviews, and onboarding new hires
Provide support for various employee HR requirements, such as onboarding documentation, employee file management, and assisting with HR-related inquiries.
Coordinate annual updates to the employee handbook
Celebrating employee birthdays and anniversaries
Miscellaneous Support
Assist with a variety of projects across River City Outdoors and its programs as needed, including special initiatives, community events, and general organizational support.
Qualifications and Skills
The ideal candidate will be adept at prioritizing, multi-tasking, and have an approachable demeanor with a positive attitude and strong communication skills.
Minimum of two (2) years experience working in a similar office-based position
Dynamic individual with the ability to work independently, proactively and collaboratively with a team.
Strong communication skills, ability to communicate with professionalism, compassion, and patience in writing, on the phone, and in person.
Solid customer service skills with a focus on providing friendly and professional support to clients, staff, and community members.
Confidence to share ideas and constructive criticism to help us grow.
Juggling multiple projects and to-do’s simultaneously is no problem for you — you are able to multi-task and meet deadlines with ease
Strong organizational skills and excellent attention to detail and accuracy
Proficient computer skills including the Microsoft Office Suite, One Drive, Google Drive Suite, Excel, Gmail, Windows in a work environment.

Bike Rental Associate
Big Muddy Adventures is expanding! Our newest outpost, located just below Gateway Arch National Park on Leonor K. Sullivan Drive, offers bike rentals to locals and visitors looking to explore downtown St. Louis and the Arch park trails.
Position Overview:
Big Muddy Adventures is seeking a part-time Rental Associate to support daily operations at our Gateway Arch bike rental location. This is a customer-facing, seasonal position ideal for someone who loves bikes, enjoys talking to people, and wants to share their knowledge with others.
Responsibilities include outfitting guests with bikes and helmets, checking equipment for safety, handling rentals and payments, and providing great service. If you have experience with bike mechanics or maintenance, that’s a big plus—but we’ll provide training for the right candidate. This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a mission-driven organization while working outside in one of the most iconic public spaces in the country.
Responsibilities:
Greet and assist customers with bike rental inquiries, payments, and returns
Provide safety briefings and helmet fittings
Recommend local routes and trail highlights to visitors
Check bikes for safety, tire pressure, brakes and cleanliness before and after use
Perform basic bike maintenance and adjustments (training provided)
Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming rental area
Assist with daily setup and storage
Uphold safety protocols and provide a positive guest experience
Handle questions and concerns in a friendly, professional manner
Perform end-of-day closing tasks, including drawer settlement
Qualifications:
A genuine love for bikes and urban riding
Previous customer service experience preferred
Experience with bike maintenance or repair is a major plus
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Comfortable working outdoors in varying conditions
Able to lift and maneuver bikes and equipment
Familiarity with digital payment systems (Square, iPad, etc.)
Dependable, punctual, and self-motivated
Able to work independently and as part of a team
Weekend and holiday availability required
